The CRA IoT network utilises two security layers – application and network communication encryption. All elements of data transfer are under CRA supervision. The network elements are managed on a secure CRA infrastructure and the data is always in the Czech Republic. Touch to switch DEVICE TYPES NOT ALL END DEVICES ARE THE SAME. End devices serve various apps and have various requirements. The CRA LoRa network utilises three types of sensors. Apart from standard data transmissions, devices can receive data in these scenarios: CONDITIONS OF DEVICE CONNECTION INTO OPERATION The device should have the full support of the up-to-date LoRaWAN specification (LoRaWAN™ certification). The device should have the same or newer firmware than covered by the certification. The device and communication have to meet the terms issued by the Czech Telecommunication Office, primarily VO-R/1. FREE VERIFICATION OF FEATURES In case your device does not meet the aforementioned conditions, you can send your device to us for a free verification of its features. Based on it we will recommend you the ideal solution. LONG BATTERY LIFE The end devices in LoRa are asynchronous and they are communicating when they have data prepared for transmission, either based on a plan or real operation. Therefore their power consumption is low. This is a fundamental difference as opposed to mobile networks, where the end devices have to be woken frequently to communicate with the network and check the incoming data, which significantly reduces the battery life. Studies show that among the various types of low-power technologies, LoRa is three to five times more favourable than others.
